It’s officially the weekend! The end of another workweek has come. For the next two days I have all the free time I could want, to just sit back relax, sleep and of course play video games.
Each Friday when I am actually writing consistently (FOR SHAME!) I like to give an update on all the games I have played over the past week as well as the games I anticipate playing over the next week. Hopefully this will give you an idea for a game to play and in turn I love hearing what you’re playing.
So what have I been playing this week?
Destiny: This game has almost started to feel like a guilty pleasure. With all the complaints and negativity surrounding it I feel like I should anti-Destiny, but I must admit I have loved every second of I have spent with this game.
I am a sucker for any good RPG, especially a loot-based game since I am nothing by a loot hoarder, and Destiny has a lot of loot to hoard. Raiding is easily the best thing Destiny has to offer and if you are lucky enough to raid with friends it’s one of the best gaming experiences to come along in a long time and should not be missed by any gamer.
Of course with over a month from release I am starting to lose the drive to play. My Titan (my main character) is now level 29 and as of right now I log into the game just to do the daily story and bounties, but with a raid planned for Monday I am sure Destiny will take up a lot of my time.
Shadows of Mordor: I love this game! Even though I have beaten all of the story missions I still have a strong drive to continue to play. Shadows of Mordor does such a great job of making me feel like a badass, and I like feeling like a badass!
The “badass affect” is strong enough in Shadows that I have decided to work towards my first Platinum Trophy on the PS4, which I hope to accomplish within the next week.
Sports: I have been so consumed by the two games above that I have had no time to sink into any of the sports games I own. Whether it’s NBA 2k15, NHL 15 or Madden 15 these sports games have been sitting collecting dust and that must change.
With Shadows and Destiny’s death grip loosening I am sure I will find myself partaking in some good ‘ol fashion electronic sports.
What have you been playing? As you can see my list isn’t very diversified right now and I love hearing about the games the community has been playing. Let me know in the comments below. Enjoy your weekend and happy gaming!
