Here are Madden 15’s Top QBs

madden-15-presentation-2

A day after releasing the top rookies in Madden 15 EA has released the list of the top 5 QBs in the upcoming game to be released at the end of next month.

To no one’s surprise Denver Bronco’s QB Peyton Manning sits at the top of the list. What is surprisingly is that Manning is given a 98 rating. After having statistically the best QB  season in NFL history it’s a little surprising that Manning isn’t sitting at 99, which is the highest rating a play can attain in the game. It’s only one point, but if Manning’s season last year doesn’t deserve a 99 then it could be argued that no QB should ever get a 99 rating until they surpass Manning’s historical season last year.

The rest of the list isn’t much of a surprise as Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees and Tom Brady all make the list but what may surprise a few people (myself included) is Russell Wilson cracking the top 5 and tying Tom Brady with a 93 rating.

I love Russell Wilson, but there are quite a few QBs that I could argue should have a better rating. There is no doubt for me that Wilson will be one of the top QBs in the league for a long time, but right now he plays with the best defense in the league, one of the best running backs in the NFL and a great offensive line and yet his stats are just as impressive or less impressive then QBs like: Phillip Rivers, Ben Roehtlisberger and Tony Romo. With the short list of ratings that have been released it’s easy to claim Russell Wilson is the most overrated player so far.

Of course if you have been a fan of the Madden series for some time then you know Russell Wilson has one thing going for him, he won the Super Bowl last year. EA has historically overrated key players on Super Bowl winning teams, you don’t have to look any further then last year’s Madden 25 when Joe Flacco was given a 93 rating after playing out of his mind in his playoff run.

You can checkout the full rankings below, and check out the player models right here.
